Preschoolers love to sing, dance, play, and have lots of room to move around. During their experience in SCC Kids, that is exactly what you can expect!

• Our goal is to engage your kids by having a fun and interactive approach each week!
• We create a safe and caring space for children to learn, understand, and apply biblical teachings in their everyday lives.
• Each Sunday at the start of the service, preschoolers join the elementary students for worship and prayer. After that, they return to the preschool classroom for their Bible story, activities, snacks, and free-play time.

We promote preschoolers who are entering kindergarten into the Elementary Room on the first Sunday in August. We work to make this a comfortable transition for children long before Promotion Sunday.

• During the summer before Promotion Sunday, incoming kindergarteners are allowed to choose each Sunday whether they want to attend the preschool class or venture into the elementary class.
• Our volunteers will talk with you if they think it might be better for your child to move up to the elementary room early or to stay a bit longer in the preschool room.
• Children entering kindergarten are welcomed to join Vacation Bible School (VBS) in the summer, typically the third full week of July. This helps them to meet and play with older elementary students.
• On Promotion Sunday, the kids starting kindergarten will begin their day in the preschool classroom, just like they usually do. But this time, when the preschoolers go back to their class, the kindergarteners will stay and join the elementary students, marking their official move to the Elementary Room. They also get a small gift to celebrate their promotion!
