Messiah: The Family Tree

When most of us think of the Christmas story it starts with an angel, a young couple, a baby in a manger, and maybe some wise men. But what if the Christmas story started 42 generations before? In Matthew chapter 1 we're given the genealogy of Jesus. But, most people tend to skip right over the first 17 verses because it's filled with a lot of names, some of which can be a real tongue twister. The reality is that every name that is listed is a person that plays a crucial part in the Christmas story because they all point to the need for a savior.
