God is love. Love for God and others is the crux on which all the law and prophets hang. Love is what transforms us. As we pray for them, pray that their love for God and others will deepen, and that it will show in their daily lives.
may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Father, thank you for loving us so much that you gave up your only Son. It staggers us to think that you loved us when we had nothing to offer. We are sinners, rebelling against all of your goodness and majesty. Cause the __________ family to be captured by the depth and sweetness of your sacrificial love. Let it soak deep into their hearts. Cause it to empower them to live sacrificial, loving lives. For your glory and their good, in Jesus’ name, amen.
